Capitol Hill Block Party 2018

Another year of solid music and dancing around the streets of Capitol Hill! Last weekend, my boyfriend and I ventured to Saturday of Capitol Hill Block Party which is centered on Pike St. between Broadway & 12th. I use to live right by CHBP where you could run between seeing artists you loved and having a lawn party with friends a few blocks away. Unfortunately those days are over, but I still love attending for the music and ambiance that fills my favorite Seattle neighborhood.

I loved the huge CHBP sign above Neumos this year, along with turf laid beer gardens, increasingly making this 3-day festival an urban trendy oasis. The general style for CHBP is true to Seattle's roots of exuding a grungy vibe. Check out my post on What to Wear to Capitol Hill Block Party to get some pointers on the laid back yet "cool" vibe to go for.

This year, I've been loving the long-sleeve mini dress trend, so I wore a black with white polka dot dress from Zara paired with white booties from Nasty Gal that are under $50!. Adding fishnet socks, or really any patterned sock, under booties can help show a pop of style and either accessorize up or down your look.

All around the festival, there were such cute outfits, from leopard sheer maxi dresses to your go-to shorts with an athleisure inspired tube top. Having attended CHBP for years now, I love that it's a time for Seattleites and attendees so show off their unique style. Leave me a comment below with what you wore if you attended!

Between Chet Porter, The DipOh Wonder, trendy beer gardens and some amazing Thai street food, we had such a fun day dancing around Capitol Hill and can't wait to go back next year!  I recommend following CHBP on Instagram or your social media channel of preference to be alerted when early bird tickets go on sale for next year, as that's always when you'll snag the best deals!
